Joseph A. Miller DMD, MBA, FAAID, DABOI/IDÂ
Dr. Joseph A. Miller is a highly accomplished dental professional with a diverse background. He earned his Bachelor's degrees in Spanish and International Relations from UC Davis before attending the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 2009. Following graduation, Dr. Miller was commissioned as a United States Naval officer and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency at the Naval Base in San Diego, California. During his service with the Marine Corps in Twentynine Palms, CA, he also obtained an MBA. Dr. Miller's Navy career provided him with extensive experience working alongside over 20 dental specialists. After his military service, he pursued further education, graduating from the prestigious Implant Maxicourse in Puerto Rico in 2019 under the guidance of implant dentistry pioneer Hilt Tatum Jr. In 2021, he achieved Diplomate status from the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry and became a Board-Certified Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the highest credentials in oral implantology. With over a decade of proficiency in CEREC technology, Dr. Miller transitioned to a fully digital laboratory in 2020. He now excels in intra-oral scanning, digital dental design using Exocad, CNC milling with both 4 and 5-axis VHF machines, 3D printing with Sprint Ray, and complete prosthetic finishing, including sintering, staining, glazing, and polishing. Dr. Miller fabricates a range of dental products, including crowns, bridges, nightguards, surgical guides, 3D-printed periodontal bandages, 3D-printed and milled (PMMA) dentures, overdentures, custom abutments, single implant restorations, and multi-unit implant-retained bridges, including cement and screw-retained All-on-X prosthetics. He is also skilled in MeshMixer for 3D printing patient jaws forcomplex surgical implantplanning. Passionate about ongoing education, Dr. Miller enjoysteaching and collaboratingwith fellow dental professionalsand lab technicians.
